Bluestone is typically installed in two manners. Wet set and dry laid. Wet set meaning that there is a cement pad poured prior to installation of the bluestone and bluestone pieces are then cemented to this pad. The other style of installation is dry laid, in which the bluestone pieces are each individually set and pounded into place over stone dust base. Once installation is complete polymeric sand is used to bind the joints between each piece.
